Dr. Suresh Chiruguru is a Science Peer-Coach, Tech Contact,  and a Lead School Data Committee Member at LaGrange High School, Calcasieu Parish School District. An educator for the past 22 years, worked in Asia, Central America, and the United States. Ms. Tyler Colson

A native Louisianian, Tyler has over five years of education experience in teaching students with exceptional needs, English learners, and magnet identified students. Tyler is a Google Certified Trainer who is passionate about bringing STEM/STEAM to girls and children of color while being an advocate for equity and justice for all students, including those who identify as LGBTQIAA+. She is driven to help all teachers integrate technology  to enhance their pedagogy, loves to learn, and is most excited about emerging technologies such as aviation and artificial intelligence in the classroom.  In her spare time, she volunteers as a GEG Louisiana Captain and is on the executive board of CoolClubWorld, an organization that rewards students for positive behavior, academic achievement, and reading.  Tyler teachers at Sherwood Middle Magnet School.

Lisa Flanders-Dick

Lisa is an innovative educator passionate about effectively integrating technology in teaching and learning. She is currently the Hub Coordinator and part of the Elementary Education team in the College of Education at Louisiana Tech University. With over 20 years as an educator, Lisa’s role has expanded from that of a teacher to also include many opportunities outside of the classroom including researcher, grant writer, educational consultant, and trainer. She was  Webster Parish Teacher of the Year, LACUE Region VII Educator of the Year, and LACUE Region VII Secondary Teacher of the Year. Lisa also previously served on the LACUE board as the Region VII director. She is a Google Certified Trainer along with other tech tool endorsements/certifications. Lisa is excited to serve as a LACUE Ambassador!

He holds a master’s in mathematical sciences from McNeese State University, LA and a Ph.D. in Math & Science Education from Southern University and A&M College. He earned his gifted certification from Northwestern State University, LA.

Dr. Shiv Kumar

Dr. Shiv Kumar is a math instructor at LaGrange High in Calcasieu Parish School Board, Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is certified to teach math to regular as well as gifted students from grades 6-12.  His research interest is math and science education. He has won several technology grants from his district and has served as blackboard website mentor to several schools. He has done presentations on various technological topics at district and state levels in Louisiana. He has peer reviewed several research papers on diverse topics. He has been District High school Teacher of the year for 2018-2019 at Calcasieu Parish School Board and LACUE Region 5 Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2018. He has served as science fair judge at Regional, State and National Level. He is excited to serve as LACUE Ambassador for 2021-2022!

Mrs. Connie Miller

Connie is currently the Technology Facilitator for Bossier Parish.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts Elementary Education K-8 at LSU-Shreveport in 2001.  Earned her Master of Education in Educational Technology K-12 Leadership at Northwestern in 2016.  Currently working at LaTech as a doctoral candidate on her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.  Connie is an ISTE Certified Educator and served the ISTE Boards as a Proposal Reviewer Captain for ISTE22.  She is a Google Certified Trainer and was key in getting Bossier Parish recognized as the first public school Google District in Louisiana.  Connie was the LACUE Region 7 Leader of the Year for 2019.  She has led professional learning in her district and across the state both F2F and virtually on incorporating technology to prepare learners to be ready for anything the future holds.

Ms. Katelyn Reulet

Katelyn is a fifth grade virtual teacher in Calcasieu Parish. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a focus in middle school math from Nicholls State University in 2014. She is currently working on her M.Ed. in Educational Technology Leadership, also from Nicholls, and will graduate in December. She has a passion for incorporating technology into her lessons, which is how she found herself teaching in a virtual setting. Both virtually and in-person, Katelyn has a passion for teaching her students by bridging the gap between curriculum and the digital skills students will need to be successful in college, careers, and life while actively working to close any existing digital skills gaps.

Beth Smith

Beth is passionate about incorporating technology into the classroom and sharing her knowledge with other educators. She is a Google, Nearpod, Kami, Clever, EdPuzzle, and Edulastic Certified Educator and a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. She is in her 30th year of teaching. She received her Computer Science B.S. from L.S.U.S., but had a calling to teach. Beth began her teaching career teaching mathematics, computer science, and computer literacy in the New Orleans area, teaching at St. Charles Catholic in LaPlace, Lynn Oaks School in lower St. Bernard Parish, and J.Q. Adams Middle School in Jefferson Parish. After moves to Texas and Georgia, her family returned to northeast Louisiana where they settled in West Monroe. Beth returned to school and received her M.S. in Secondary Curriculum & Instruction with a minor in Computer Science from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM).After teaching mathematics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe for 12 years, she returned to the secondary mathematics classroom at Neville High School, where she has been teaching since 2010. She also continues to teach online Computer Literacy courses for ULM as an adjunct professor. Beth has been recognized as the Outstanding Developmental Math Teacher for ULM, the LATM Outstanding College Teacher, the Teacher of the Year for Neville High School and Monroe City Schools and was recognized as a Math Finalist for the Presidential Award for Mathematics and Science Teaching. She serves as the mathematics Content Leader and Master Teacher for her school and has been a mentor teacher for preservice teachers at Louisiana Tech and the University of Louisiana at Monroe for the last five years.
